The motivation for this album is usually winter. All my creative energies come out when I am alone in my warm studio while the weather outside is particularly bad: cold rain, clouds, nothing of interest. Joy, love and sadness all contribute. It seems all my songs written during the previous year demand to be completed.

All my creative energies come out when I am alone in my warm studio while the weather outside is particularly bad: cold rain, clouds, nothing of interest. Joy, love and sadness all contribute. It seems all my songs written during the previous year demand to be completed.

I am also motivated by well-made films, particularly foreign films. Films that are unusual, bold, creative with twists you did not expect, almost unbearable sadness, indescribable joy and entrancing acting by unknown actors with whom you fall in love.

Books also captivate me as does travel. My dreams captivate me. I hear (and see) wonderful music. Time and place are transposed. And finally people I meet who are so genuine I would follow them anywhere.
